Perintang
Perintang ialah sejenis komponen elektronik dua-terminal yang menghasilkan voltan merentangi terminalnya yang berkadar dengan arus elektrik melaluinya selaras dengan hukum Ohm:
Unit
Ohm (simbol: Ω) ialah unit SI bagi rintangan elektrik, dinamakan sempena Georg Simon Ohm. Satu ohm bersamaan satu volt seampere. Kerana perintang ditentukan dan dikilangkan dalam satu julat nilai yang besar, unit-unit terbitan milliohm (1 mΩ = 10−3 Ω), kilohm (1 kΩ = 103 Ω), dan megohm (1 MΩ = 106 Ω) juga biasa digunakan.
Salingan bagi rintangan R disebut kealiran G = 1/R dan diukur dalam siemens (unit SI), kadangkala sebagai mho. Maka, satu siemens adalah silangan bagi satu ohm: . Walaupun konsep kealiran sering digunakan dalam analisis litar, perintang praktikal sentiasa dinyatakan dalam sebutan rintangannya (ohm) berbanding dengan sebutan kealirannya.
