Kortikosteroid
Kortikosteroid ialah sekelas bahan kimia yang termasuk hormon steroid dihasilkan secara semula jadi di dalam korteks adrenal bagi vertebrat dan analog hormon ini yang disintesis di dalam makmal. Kortikosteroid terlibat dalam pelbagai proses fisiologi, termasuk stres, gerak balas imun, dan pengawalaturan keradangan, metabolisme karbohidrat, katabolisme protein, paras elektrolit darah, dan tingkah laku.
