Bukit

Bukit (Jawi: ‏بوكيت‎‎ ; kata ganda: bukit-bukau بوكيت-بوكاو‎‎) ialah kawasan tanah yang lebih tinggi daripada persekitarannya tetapi lebih kecil, kurang curam dan mudah didaki berbanding gunung.[1] Bukit selalunya mempunyai puncak. Bukit yang agak kecil dipanggil "anak bukit" atau "guar".

Istilah

Lainan antara bukit dan gunung adalah kurang jelas dan merupakan suatu bidang subjektif. Oxford English Dictionary mengesyorkan batas 2000 kaki (610 meter), manakala Kamus Dewan mengesyorkan batas 1500 kaki (457.2 m).
