Peter Candid, origine Pieter de Witte, Peter de Wit (Bruĝo, 1548 – Munkeno, 1628) estis flandra pentristo, [1][2] aktiva en Italujo (Florenco, Romo) kaj Bavario. Honore al li estas en Munkeno nomataj la strato Candidstraße, la placo Candidplatz kaj la stacio en la Metroo de Munkeno (Candidplatz).[3][4]

Laŭ Karel van Mander, li estis lernanto kaj kunlaboranto de Giorgio Vasari, kaj instruisto de Johann Ulrich Loth. Li edziĝis kaj havis 5 filojn: ankaŭ lia filo Wilhelm estis pentristo kaj lia filino edziĝis al la gravuristo Philippe Sadeler. Lia patro estis tapiŝisto en Flandrio kaj lia familio translokiĝis al Florenco. Lia originala familinomo estus "de Wit" aŭ "de Witte" kaj ŝanĝita al "Candido" en Italio.
