Henicophaps estas eta genro de birdoj de la familio Kolombedoj, kiuj estas endemiaj de Nov-Gvineo kaj la Bismarkoj. Tiuj estas fortikaj kolomboj kun maloftaj longaj fortaj bekoj kiuj vivas en humidaj arbaroj kaj manĝas ĉefe surgrunde.

Angla zoologo George Robert Gray enkondukis la genron Henicophaps en 1862 por enmeti la specion Novgvinea bronzflugilulo (Henicophaps albifrons) kiu estis kolektita de natursciencisto Alfred Russel Wallace en la insulo Vaigeo, nordokcidenta Nov-Gvineo.[1] La genronomo kombinas la vorton de la Antikva greka henikos kun signifo "unika" kaj "phaps" signife "kolombo".[2]
