WikiProject Croatia is a WikiProject whose aim is to improve the quality and coverage of articles related to Croatia and the Croats. It is chiefly designed to help users collaborate on articles, but also to resolve open questions and disputes, to establish project-wide conventions, and to coordinate work on vandalism clean-up.

What do we have to show for it?

WikiProject Croatia currently covers a total of 19,538 articles and 9,170 other related pages on the English Wikipedia.

At the same time, the WikiProject aims to improve quality of the existing articles through its assessment activities and formal Wikipedia-wide review mechanisms such as Good article, Featured article and Featured list reviews. Right now, WikiProject Croatia encompasses:

25 Featured articles,
10 Featured lists, and
247 Good articles.

Back in 2011, Wikipedia Signpost ran a report on WikiProject Croatia. While much has changed since, it still provides an insight into workings of WikiProject Croatia and lets readers get a feel for pace of development of the WikiProject. How can you help?

You don't have to join the WikiProject Croatia to work on topics related to Croatia or Croats. We welcome all help to improve coverage of the topic within the scope of the WikiProject and encourage those who are members and others alike to contribute. Our to-do list and article alerts contain articles that need different types of attention; please feel free to select something that interests you and start editing! In short:

  1. Help manage the Croatia Wikiportal.
  2. Contribute and improve on the quality of Croatia-related articles.
  3. Recognize and correct vandalism in Croatia-related articles.
  4. Create requested articles.
  5. Add requested photographs (map).

If you would like to advertise your participation, you can formally join the project by adding your name to the list of members, and by adding our userbox to your user page.

What advice can we offer?

There is no formal mechanism to which a newcomer or even an experienced editor may turn to regarding editing-related issues encountered while contributing to WikiProject Croatia. Nonetheless, please feel free to address WikiProject Croatia talk page with any queries you might have. Alternatively you may turn to any WikiProject Croatia member for assistance. The members are generally quite willing to assist and advise wherever possible.
