I apologize if it came over as snotty, it came from frustration with a seemingly constant flow of uncited pop culture references to articles, but I shouldn't have let it allow me to type that. Really pop culture references need to have received some sort of mention in a secondary source to establish their notability, else articles of large landmarks and notable persons would be swamped with trivial and passing references.
