I finished working on this page, or at least creating a strong stub that others could contribute to on my page, and then I sent it to become a regular page instead of part of my page... but it thinks I vandalized. I am kind of new to Wikipedia. Umyang (talk) 12:41, 30 August 2009 (UTC)umyang[reply]

The article April Rose has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I believe this person fails the notability guidelines.

Hello, I've never participated in a "talk" before. I think that April Rose is one of the top and most active bellydancers out there. If every notable person needs to be as famous as Rihanna or something then she definitely fails, but in the world of bellydance she's a really big deal and super active. That's why I made this at first. Because as a scholar of performance I find that it can be really strange who is on Wikipedia and who is not. When will be start to acknowledge dancers who are not in Ballet, or modern dance in the Western World (esp. the US, Germany, etc), or tap? When will things that fall outside popular culture like bellydance, bharata natyam, or salpuri get pages introducing their most famous and most active dancers? It was in that mindset that on one bored afternoon I wrote up a stub for this dancer. Umyang (talk) 12:33, 5 November 2013 (UTC)umyang[reply]

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Acta Koreana, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Korean Studies (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi there. Actually for both of those scholars I need to write a page for them, if there is to be a real page. Esp. Duncan's super major, so it should't be too hard to write it, i'm just totally overwhelmed with work right now. Can I make a sort of bookmark-like page and let that hold the place until I can get back to it?

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Korean studies, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Andre Schmid (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself, at CedarBough T Saeji. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 10:48, 26 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Umyang. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Karjam Saeji, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. You created this article in 2009. According to CedarBough T Saeji this is your husband, suggesting a possible conflict of interest. I don't know when you got married, but at least going forward be aware that you have a conflict of interest for this article.Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 10:59, 26 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
