Hello
Hi I'm user:BurningBlaze05, happy to find there's a influx of editors on this site. If you need help with anything feel free to ask
(Regarding your sandbox, Zachary David DID have a draft wikipedia page but it got deleted due to inactivity, there is a way to undelete it so I will get on with that rn BurningBlaze05 (talk) 08:39, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- Got it, thank you! I noticed that he was doing pretty decent in championships, decently notable, and didn't have a page yet so I decided to try to start one. If you are able to get it undeleted, I'd gladly work on it GalacticVelocity08 (talk) 01:15, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
- Not sure where the correct place to ask this is, so just asking here;
- Is there a way to know if there are currently drafts or articles in progress for lower formulae drivers? There are some FRECA drivers/top level F4 drivers that might be notable enough for an article, but I don't want to impede on someone else's work.
- Additionally, is there a way to view AfDed articles (such as Zachary David, as you said above)?
- Thank you in advance! GalacticVelocity08 (talk) 00:41, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- Well I just search up Draft:*insert driver here* and it usually comes up. User: Certified Formula Neek has alot of drafts, but it seemed like they left and blanked their page, the drafts are still there though. Moto3/Moto2 really lacks in wikipedia, so if you're handy at motorcycle racing maybe you can focus on developing that side of wikipedia. BurningBlaze05 (talk) 06:11, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- I see what you mean with the drafts. I might ask a followup question later on if I work on a draft since I don't fully understand it yet, but I get the basics.
- I don't follow motorcycle racing, but if I'm bored then I'll look into helping with those articles.
- One last question, regarding Wikipedia:NMOTORSPORT: Given this is a very strict criteria, is this only a suggestion for articles? I saw that Draft:Bruno del Pino got denied for it twice, so just a bit confused. If that criteria was followed strictly, I don't think many lower formulae drivers would have pages. (not sure if i'm phrasing this right, but I think you can get my point) GalacticVelocity08 (talk) 15:44, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- They tend to be a bit strict on drivers that aren't in Formula Regional, GB3, Eurocup-3 and others, idk why. GT's and LMP3/LMP2 aren't as strict and WRC and Motorcycle racing dgaf about it.
- I tend to make F4 drivers in the drafts and wait until they moved up to higher categories. Formula Racing can be a bit fickle when it comes to that BurningBlaze05 (talk) 16:15, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- That makes more sense, thank you. Also, regarding Zachary David, I found a failed undeletion request, and I don't see a way to view the draft. Therefore, since I think there is still significant coverage and notability, would I be allowed to start a new draft? It seems like there were also COI issues with the draft, too. My main concern is that this was 2 months ago, which is relatively recent. This is my last question for a bit so I'll leave you alone after this lol. Thanks!!! GalacticVelocity08 (talk) 18:58, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- Be my guest in making a new draft.
- Feel free to ask more questions or contact me on Discord (username in my bio) I'm happy to help! BurningBlaze05 (talk) 21:51, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- PS: Idk if you haven't figured out all already, but the racing results on Zachary Davids sandbox you made are a bit...muddled up? I have templates for the respective series in my sandbox if you need them. BurningBlaze05 (talk) 21:55, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
- Honestly I haven't looked at my sandbox since when I made it, but I just looked at the ones you have and that's actually pretty helpful, thanks GalacticVelocity08 (talk) 22:25, 26 October 2024 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Zachary David (October 31)

- If you would like to continue working on the submission, go to Draft:Zachary David and click on the "Edit" tab at the top of the window.
- If you do not edit your draft in the next 6 months, it will be considered abandoned and may be deleted.
- If you need any assistance, or have experienced any untoward behavior associated with this submission, you can ask for help at the Articles for creation help desk, on the reviewer's talk page or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help from experienced editors.
- Hi, thank you for reviewing my article very quickly. I apologize if this is not the right place to respond, not sure where else to. This is my first AfC, so I apologize for the questions/statements.
- Before I start, while I did see the discussion (for my reference: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Zachary David), this was on an entirely different draft, and I do not know what exactly was included on that draft (draft was deleted, and undeletion request was denied). Not sure if this is making sense, but I'm trying to say that I may have established how he is notable in a better way.
- Without trying to sound passive aggressive, I'm not sure how he is not notable. There are several other drivers in this series with articles, with arguably less notability than David. He also has significant coverage, but I do understand if he is not considered to be at a high enough level of motorsport for an article.
- While this is speculative, and not for certain, I think the COI issues were a large factor in that deletion discussion, which may have impaired the article's nobility. Thank you in advance! GalacticVelocity08 (talk) 01:33, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
- @CNMall41 (I was told to re-mention you as it might not have notified you, I apologize if this is a double notification. Just trying to play it safe.) GalacticVelocity08 (talk) 02:30, 31 October 2024 (UTC)

- No worries on the ping. And no, it doesn't sound passive aggressive. These are common questions from first time AfC users and I don't take anything personal on Wikipedia. The deletion discussion is not determined based on COI. If it was an issue of WP:SOCK (likely associated with COI or UPE), then it would have been speedily deleted. Editors voting in discussions are required to their research on notability and admins are required to evalute if that was done properly when evaluating those votes. As such, it was decided by the community that this does not meet notability guidelines. That also means that a different version is not what makes something notable or not. It is the sourcing. That was my statement "unless submitter can show what has happened since that time to make the subject notable, consensus has already determined that notability is not here." The best route forward would be to point out the WP:SIGCOV that has happened since the last AfD. Yes, things can change and someone can become notable after a deletion discussion, but it still needs to be shown how they have become so since it was last decided they were not. It can also be confusing when seeing other pages on drivers with less notability, but see WP:OSE. Those pages would need to be recommended for deletion if they do not meet guidelines. Just because that has yet to happen does not mean they are notable. --CNMall41 (talk) 20:34, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for the response. So essentially, the best thing to do from here is to wait for more/find more recent articles (<2 months) to be published about the subject? GalacticVelocity08 (talk) 23:32, 31 October 2024 (UTC)

Race directors
Hi there, sorry for the belated note, but I saw your post on WP:F1 about your race director draft. Do you plan to continue writing it given that a race director article was created three days ago? Namelessposter (talk) 16:19, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
- I was aware that the page was created as "List of Formula One Race Directors", however I wasn't aware that it got moved. I was still planning to continue with the draft as my draft encompasses other sports, so thanks for notifying me.
- Might just manually move all the stuff from my draft to the article and wait for the draft to expire. Not sure what else to do, but if you have another idea please let me know. GalacticVelocity08 (talk) 16:54, 14 January 2025 (UTC)
- Folding your draft into the article might be the best move unless F1 race directors act qualitatively different from other categories’ directors. You can always split off the F1 material if the article gets too long. Namelessposter (talk) 23:55, 14 January 2025 (UTC)

Kyle Busch results tables
Please double check what you are removing or hiding next time. You hid one fully sourced IMSA table, another that was fully sourced in 2 links within the table, and the SRX information (Heat winner etc) is from the motorsports template key. which appears on the article for every driver from that series and does not require a source because it's template information. Motorsport article sourcing is not great in most areas but if you want to improve it please do so via adding citations (which are readily accessible and easy to locate!) Electricmemory (talk) 10:24, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
- While I am willing to accept when I make mistakes, I do not believe I did anything wrong here. You are correct about the fully sourced IMSA table (Daytona 24 hours), however since it is a subsection of the unsourced IMSA table overall, so I hid both for stylistic reasons, although others may disagree with that judgement. I do not understand what you are talking about with the Daytona 500 table, it would require a reference for results for each of the 500s he took part in, which are a lot and is not some quick simple task. The SRX information about heats and fastest lap was intentionally hidden as it was unsourced and did not match up with the series' article. I could not easily find sourcing for the season's results/standings, so I reduced it to what was sourced/consistent - two wins and no championship standing position as he was a guest. The rest can be easily readded if a reliable source is provided. Fair enough about the key, though.
- I also find it unfair that you make it seem like my actions are something difficult to reverse. They are invisible comment lines, you can easily go into the source code and remove them. Sources are not always easy to find for these types of things - there's no one link that lists all his Daytona 500 finishes, IMSA does not provide standings from previous years, and SRX seems to be gone. Temporarily hiding tables to help an article get pushed to ITN isn't unheard of, and other editors are free to put more time and effort into sourcing them as they aren't removed. Thanks.
