Tramell Tillman (born June 17, 1985) is an American actor. He is known for his role as Seth Milchick in the Apple TV+ series Severance (2022–present).^[2]

Biography

Tillman grew up in Largo, Maryland, in the Washington metropolitan area, and has five older siblings.^[3] After graduating from Eleanor Roosevelt High School in 2003,^[4] he enrolled at Xavier University of Louisiana as a pre-med. However, he did not enjoy the course work.^[3] In 2005, after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, he transferred to Jackson State University,^[5] where he changed his major.^[3]

Tillman graduated from Jackson State^[6] with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications in 2008, summa cum laude, and a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Tennessee in 2014, and was the first African American man to graduate from that program.^[3]

Tillman credits his mother for inspiring him to go into acting to overcome his shyness, and says he has always admired acting as an art form.^[7]

Tillman is openly gay.^[8]
