Talk:Neican

Suggest merging with the other

I suggest this be merged with the article on internal media in China; don't see the need to separate them, personally. The Sound and the Fury (talk) 17:34, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think they are notable enough to warrant separate articles. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 17:38, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Would you agree that neican are a subset of Internal media? The Sound and the Fury (talk) 17:53, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, and I believe the article makes it clear. They are, however, a notable subset of internal media, deserving a dedicated article. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 18:02, 19 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I'd have thought better to combine for simplicity's sake, given that neither is very long, but it's neither here nor there. The Sound and the Fury (talk) 03:29, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Let us keep them separate: interesting counterparts in other socialist countries.

Merge proposal

I propose merging Internal media of the Chinese Communist Party into Neican per WP:COMMONNAME. Also, Neican is already a more comprehensive and up-to-date article as Internal media of the Chinese Communist Party has been largely dormant for over a decade. - Amigao (talk) 22:53, 16 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Amigao, this discussion is inactive so I've removed the merge proposal tags. Since this has gone unopposed, anyone can carry out a WP:BOLDMERGE. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 02:13, 4 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
