Talk:Muslim National Guard

Page title

It looks like somebody complained to Amakuru to revert my "undiscussed" page move. But this move was done almost two years ago, with a clear edit summary. This was the state in which I left the article, with both the terms evidenced, and the article body expanded accordingly.

My recent move had to do with changing the singular to plural: "Guard" to "Guards", which is how it is in almost all the sources. Why is the complaint being raised now, with no challenge having been made on the talk page?

If you look at the sources, both the terms, Muslim League National Guards and Muslim National Guards, are equally pervasive, often the same sources using both the terms interchangeably. But "Muslim League National Guards" is the official name, as is clear from the Governor's reports to the Viceroy. And "Muslim National Guards" is a short form that was often used.

It seems there is an effort to distance Muslim League from this organisation, and pretend that it is a separate organisation that somehow associated itself to the Muslim League. That is far from the truth. MLNG was the para-military wing of the Muslim League and an integral part of the party. Almost all its early efforts were meant for recruiting people into the Muslim League. -- Kautilya3 (talk) 18:07, 20 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
