Surf Gang (styled in all caps) is an American hip-hop collective and netlabel founded in New York City in 2018 by Evilgiane.^[5] They have been cited as influential to the contemporary underground rap scene.^[6][7] Among the core associates are producers Eera, Harrison, Evilgiane, and vocalists Jackzebra, Pasto Flacco, Moh Baretta, Casper, and Bobainee.^[8][9]

Surf Gang has helped artists like Snow Strippers, Xaviersobased, Nettspend and Harto Falión gain wider recognition and collaborated with artists such as Matt Ox, Kendrick Lamar,^[10] Cooper B. Handy, Mike, Earl Sweatshirt, Suzy Sheer, and Jackzebra.^[1]

Surf Gang originated as a skate crew in New York City in 2017, with its members creating music using the equipment they had and bonding over their shared creative interests at a local skate park, before transitioning into a music collective the following year.^{[11][12][13][14]}

In 2021, the collective would go on to release their debut compilation album, titled SGB.^[15] The collective would then follow up with their second release of the year, titled SVG1.^[16] In 2022, the collective would release At Least We Tried.^[15][17] In 2023, Surf Gang would release their debut EP, titled Fast 5 with 454.^[18] Following the EP's release, Surf Gang would team up with Matt Ox to release OXYGen.^[19] Shortly after, they would team up with Serane to release Sgpm.^[20] Their third and final release of the year, in collaboration with John Glacier, titled Jgsg, would release in August of that year.^[21] In 2024, Surf Gang would team up with Bbyafricka to release their second EP of their discography, titled Hard Copy.^[22] That same year, Surf Gang would also release Jack & The Beanstalk with Lucy.^[23] Surf Gang would then follow up with Church & Surf with Durkalini.^[24] In 2025, Surf Gang would go on to sign Chinese rapper Jackzebra,^[1] following his signing, Surf Gang would also release Scenic Route with Lerado Khalil, and Amnesia with Jawnino in December.^[25] In 2026, Pompeii // Utility with Earl Sweatshirt and MIKE would release.^[26][27] Upon release, the project would chart at number 26 on the UK Album Downloads Chart, number 46 on UK Independent Albums chart, number eight on UK R&B Albums chart, and number 34 on Billboard's Independent Albums chart.^{[28][29][30][31]}

Surf Gang's works have been cited as influential to the contemporary underground rap scene.^[6][7] The founder of the collective, Evilgiane, has defined the collective's sound as "post-apocalyptic rap."^[13][12]
