"Perdono" (Italian for 'Forgiveness'; also released under the title "Xdono") is a 2001 song recorded by Italian singer Tiziano Ferro. Released on May 12, 2001, it was the singer's debut single and the lead single from his album Rosso Relativo, which was released four months later. The single achieved huge success in many European countries and even topped the charts in the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Austria and Belgium (Wallonia).

The song, considered as "sweet and melodious" in its Franco-Italian version, was much aired on radio in France.[1] The music video was directed by Matteo Pellegrini.[citation needed]

The record producer, Michele Canova, revealed after 21 years that Ferro's song was copied and "lifted and dropped" from a song by American singer R. Kelly.[2][3]

[The producer explains that he could not have "sampled directly: because if I had done it, then rightly they were suing us". So Xdono was "own taking weight from a piece of R. Kelly. Titian and I looked at each other, I still remember today, while we were in the studio: 'Do we make the mischief? Yeah, come on, let's do it. And so I simply resonated the piece: because if you resonate it at most they can tell you that you have copied, but legally they can do nothing to do to you. Unless it gets really big.” And that song, "big, big", really became so.]
