Oulaya Amamra (born 12 November 1996) is a French actress known for starring in the 2016 films Divines and Tamara. She won the César Award for Most Promising Actress and the Lumières Award for Best Female Revelation for Divines.[1][2]


Personal life

Amamra was born in France to a Moroccan father and Algerian mother.[3] She is the younger sister of director Houda Benyamina. Amamra attended Catholic school and studied classical dance for 15 years.[4]

Benyamina cast Amamra for a lead role in Divines, although she was initially concerned that the project could threaten their relationship.[4]
