Village in Saskatchewan, Canada
Mervin (2016 population : 159 ) is a village in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within the Rural Municipality of Mervin No. 499 and Census Division No. 17 .
The village was named for the son of the first postmaster, Archie Gemmell .[ 5]
History
Mervin incorporated as a village on March 17, 1920.[ 6]
Demographics
In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada , Mervin had a population of 2 (0.27 sq mi), it had a population density of 2 (596.8/sq mi) in 2021.[ 9]
In the 2016 Census of Population , the Village of Mervin recorded a population of 159 living in 83 of its 94 total private dwellings, a 160 . With a land area of 0.73 km2 (0.28 sq mi), it had a population density of 2 (564.1/sq mi) in 2016.[ 10]
