Out of Formation is a book series written by Callsign Murdock and Callsign Atlantic. It follows the two characters Murdock and Atlantic as they navigate a turbulent relationship as they grow from bitter enemies, to inseparable lovers. The book can be found on sites like Amazon, Barnes and noble and apple books. The book was announced by the pair in early 2026 and published in June the same year. The duo also confirmed the origins of the book are closely tied to their TikTok accounts and the videos posted through the #outofformation hashtag.

Beyond Orders

The story begins with Atlantic arriving and being placed under Murdock's watchful eye. He quickly begins to get on Murdock's last nerve and this is where the relationship between the two is questionable. This is how we start the enemies to lovers side of the book. It is unclear how long it takes the two to become close, however it is confirmed by the authors to be an explosive reconciliation.
Further Work
As of 2026, there is no further information about books to be released by the pair, however they have teased a second book in the Out of Formation series. No titles or storylines have been released however on many publishing sites, it is noted that the first book, Beyond Orders is the first in a series.
Callsign Murdock
Callsign Murdock is a Tiktok creator who posts content on the popular app. He is an integral part of the Masktok community who wears all black military gear with his name patch branded on it. His standout pieces of gear include his black hat with a white skull and the black bandana with white skull and crossbones on it.
Callsign Murdock became a content creator in October of 2025, gaining follower traction quickly. In November the same year, he met Callsign Atlantic. It is unknown how long the pair had been planning to write together at this time.
Murdock also confirmed how he got his name, it coming from a popular movie character of the same name. This is also how his followers became known as Reapers.

Callsign Atlantic
Just like his co-author, Callsign Atlantic is a TikTok creator who also posts content to the popular app. He is a creator who is quickly gaining traction on the app within the Masktok community. It was confirmed on the pairs website that he began posting content long before beginning Atlantic, but it is unclear what the previous account looked like.
Callsign Atlantic also has a Youtube account, but has not posted anything as of May 2026. It appears to be that the account is used for the purpose of public playlists for his followers.
