GGOTCC

Hello, I am GGOTCC! I primarily focus on Wikiproject:Ships with my main niche being the US Navy, vessels with unique designs, and making typos. I also poke around various Wikiprojects dedicated to improving the quality of various articles across the site.

(Yes, I am the USS Gyatt guy)

Did you know...that GGOTCC stands for Galloping Ghost of the Carolina Coast?

Did you know... that some of my photos I posted to Wikimedia Commons have been printed in magazines, newspapers, and a book?

Did you know...that Wikipedia articles I wrote have been directly translated into Spanish, German, Thai, French, Hausa, and Simplified Chinese?

Did you know...a Wikipedia article I wrote was (apparently) used as an example of good work at the college I now attend?

Did you know...this user is a castrated turkey?

Did you know...that I got banned from the Spanish Wikipedia for awarding a barnstar(???)?

Some of the notable articles I created/worked on:

USCGC Jackson: first written

Wampanoag-class frigate: most underrated

Patrouilleurs Hauturiers: most viewed

SS United States: all-time favorite (and the greatest ocean liner to ever sail!)

Page views across the articles I created

Have I made the same typo 15 times in a row? See below!

The Tireless Contributor Barnstar
Whenever I see new GANs related to ships, they're usually from you. You're like the Admiral of Wikipedia, like David Robinson, except you're likely nowhere near as tall, you may not be black, and you likely didn't play in the NBA nor serve in the Navy. But you're both admirals! That counts for something! You deserve a barnstar for managing to put so much effort into this topic. I hope you'll continue to make more solid articles and contributions in the future! S.G. (They/Them) (Talk) (Contributions) 08:58, 29 December 2025 (UTC)

Thank you for quality articles around U.S. navy historic ships such as USS Severn (1867), USS Gyatt, and first USCGC Jackson, for SS United States, for articles coming with images printed in magazines and a book, with an amazing rate of quality articles vs. all created articles, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!
