Draft:Dennis Consorte

  • Comment: There's a whiff of WP:NPOV issues here - from what I can gather, quite a few of the sources are WP:PRIMARY interview sources where Consorte speaks in capacity as a business adviser for Digital.com, a small business consultancy. I may be misguided here, but there is a world of difference where an adviser for a consultant is doing public media on behalf of the consultant and one where that person is doing "activism", being a "small business advocate", an "advocate for entrepreneurship", and "advocate for employee privacy rights" in a personal capacity. At any rate, most of the sourcing is a selection of sources inferring what Consorte has said or done through his career. There would not seem to be any in-depth secondary sourcing about Consorte himself to meet WP:GNG, WP:SIGCOV or WP:SECONDARY. I'd start looking there. VRXCES (talk) 13:23, 2 October 2025 (UTC)

Activism

Consorte was a small business advocate during the COVID-19 lockdowns from 2020 to 2022.[6] He was also an advocate for entrepreneurship during the Great Resignation. Consorte states that people often start businesses or pick up side hustles when their jobs no longer feel purposeful. He states that companies need to do a better job of making employees feel valued. In an interview with Crain’s Chicago Business, Consorte said, “We’re at a point where people sitting at home are deciding they’re tired of commuting and making money for other people and in the process doing things they don’t enjoy. They are realizing that time is short and now is the time to move.”[6]

Consorte has been an advocate for employee privacy rights and against workplace surveillance. In an interview with Jed Kim of Marketplace Tech syndicated to 800 radio stations, Consorte said, “If monitoring software is making people more productive, because they’re fearful, that’s not a very healthy relationship, and it’s not sustainable.”[7]
