Annika Penickova (born September 11, 2009) is an American professional tennis player. Alongside her twin sister, Kristina, she won the girls' doubles title at the 2025 Australian Open.

Early life

From Campbell, California, U.S, she later trained at the USTA Academy in Orlando, Florida.[2]

Junior career

Annika is a left-handed player, she won the girls' doubles champion at the 2025 Australian Open playing alongside her right-handed twin sister, Kristina.[3][4] It's her first Junior Grand Slam title. In the semi final they defeated Czech sisters Jana and Alena Kovačková.[5][6] In the final they defeated in straight sets against Emerson Jones and Hannah Klugman.[3]

Personal life

Her twin sister, Kristina, also plays tennis.[7][8] Their parents, Tomáš Pěnička and Olga Hostáková, are former tennis players from the Czech Republic.[9][10] They are both coached by their father.[11] Her uncle is former hockey player Martin Hosták.
