Το NGC 6193 και το νεφέλωμα NGC 6188

Το NGC 6193 ή Caldwell 82 είναι ανοικτό αστρικό σμήνος, το οποίο αποτελείται από 27 αστέρες και βρίσκεται στον νότιο αστερισμό Βωμό[1]. Είναι δυνατή η παρατήρησή του δια γυμνού οφθαλμού[1], καθώς έχει φαινόμενο μέγεθος 5,2. Απέχει 3.765 έτη φωτός από τη Γη και έχει διάμετρο δεκατεσσάρων ετών φωτός. Η ηλικία του υπολογίζεται στα δέκα εκατομμύρια έτη. Το NGC 6193 σχετίζεται με το νεφέλωμα εκπομπής NGC 6188.

Ο αστρονόμος Τζέιμς Ντάνλοπ (James Dunlop) ανακάλυψε το NGC 6193 στις 14 Μαΐου 1826.[2][3]
