Το NGC 5824

To NGC 5824 είναι σφαιρωτό σμήνος στον αστερισμό του Λύκου. Οι αστρονόμοι James Dunlop (1826), Τζον Χέρσελ (1831) και Έντουαρντ Έμερσον Μπάρναρντ (1882) ισχυρίστηκαν ότι το ανακάλυψαν ανεξάρτητα ο ένας από τον άλλο. Είναι δυνατή η παρατήρησή του με μικρά τηλεσκόπια, όμως απαιτούνται ισχυρότερα όργανα για να γίνει διακριτός ο αστρικός πυρήνας του.[1][2]
