Timo Goosmann

Timo Goosmann (* April 1978 in Norden) ist ein deutscher Diplomat. Er ist seit 2025 Botschafter in Niger.

Werdegang

Goosmann studierte Europäische Studien an der Universität Osnabrück und Lateinamerikanistik an der Universität Salamanca. 2009 trat er in den Auswärtigen Dienst ein. Im Auswärtigen Amt arbeitete er in der Abteilung für Kultur und Gesellschaft sowie zuletzt in der Unterabteilung für Lateinamerika und Karibik. Auslandsposten nahm er in Indonesien und Ecuador wahr. Von 2021 bis 2025 war er stellvertretender Leiter der Delegation der Europäischen Union in Malaysia.[1]

2025 wurde Goosmann deutscher Botschafter in Niger und Leiter der Botschaft in Niamey.
