Neruma ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Bunda in der tansanischen Region Mara.

Geografie

Neruma ist ein Landbezirk in der Seezone im Norden von Tansania und liegt auf einer Halbinsel im Victoriasee, rund 40 Kilometer Luftlinie westlich der Distrikthauptstadt Bunda.[2] Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 10.857 Menschen in 1957 Haushalten[3] auf einer Fläche von 50 Quadratkilometern.[4]

Der Bezirk grenzt im Süden an den Victoriasee und sonst an vier Bezirke des Distrikts Bunda:[5]

Infrastruktur

  • Bildung: Es gibt eine weiterführende Schule im Bezirk.[7] Die Nyeruma Secondary School ist eine staatliche Schule mit einer Ausbildung bis zur 4. Stufe.[8]
  • Gesundheitseinrichtungen: In der Gemeinde Kasahunga liegt ein staatliches Gesundheitszentrum,[9] in Neruma eine staatliche Apotheke.[10]
  • Elektrizität, Wasser: Von den 2543 Gebäuden im Bezirk haben 377 einen Stromanschluss von Tanesco, 673 beziehen Strom aus anderen Quellen wie Solarzellen und Generatoren. In 77 Gebäuden gibt es einen Wasseranschluss (Stand 2022).[11]
  • Gebäudenutzung: Von den 95 Gebäuden, die nicht für Wohnzwecke genutzt werden, sind 50 Geschäftslokale, gehören 18 religiösen Gemeinschaften, sind 17 öffentliche Gebäude wie Schulen und Gesundheitseinrichtungen, 6 Bürogebäude, 2 Gewerbebetriebe und je eines ist ein Warenlager, ein Hotel und eine industrielle Anlage (Stand 2022).[12]
