Nansimo ist ein Verwaltungsbezirk (englisch Ward) des Distrikts Bunda in der tansanischen Region Mara.

Geografie

Nansimo ist ein Landbezirk in der Seezone im Norden von Tansania. Er liegt rund 60 Kilometer Luftlinie westlich der Distrikthauptstadt Bunda auf einer Halbinsel im Victoriasee. Zum Bezirk gehört auch die Insel Nafuba. Bei der Volkszählung 2022 lebten 14.599 Menschen in 2890 Haushalten[2] auf einer Fläche von 70 Quadratkilometern.[3]

Der Bezirk grenzt im Süden an den Victoriasee und sonst an drei Bezirke des Distrikts Bunda:[4]

Der Bezirk besteht aus fünf Gemeinden (Swahili Mtaa) mit 21 Orten (Swahili Kitongoji):[5]

Infrastruktur

  • Bildung: Es gibt eine weiterführende Schule im Bezirk.[6] Die Nansimo Secondary School ist eine staatliche Schule, die rund 200 Schüler bis zur 4. Stufe ausbildet (Stand 2025).[7]
  • Gesundheitseinrichtungen: In den Gemeinden Nansimo,[8] Nambaza,[9] Nafuba[10] und Mwitende[11] liegt je eine staatliche Apotheke.
  • Elektrizität, Wasser: Von den 3479 Gebäuden im Bezirk haben 322 einen Stromanschluss von Tanesco, 1056 beziehen Strom aus anderen Quellen wie Solarzellen und Generatoren. In 137 Gebäuden gibt es einen Wasseranschluss (Stand 2022).[12]
  • Gebäudenutzung: Von den 164 Gebäuden, die nicht für Wohnzwecke genutzt werden, sind 56 öffentliche Gebäude wie Schulen und Gesundheitseinrichtungen, 39 Geschäftslokale, gehören 22 religiösen Gemeinschaften, sind 15 Gewerbebetriebe, 10 Gästehäuser, 10 Bürogebäude, 8 Hotels, 7 Warenlager und 2 industrielle Anlagen (Stand 2022).[13]
