Hoshiarpur (Panjabi ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ) ist eine Stadt (Municipal Corporation) des nordwestindischen Bundesstaates Punjab mit 168.653 Einwohnern (Zensus 2011).
Hoshiarpur befindet sich im Tiefland auf einer Höhe von 300 m 10 km von den Siwaliks entfernt. Die Stadt ist Sitz des gleichnamigen Distrikts. Zur 40 km südwestlich gelegenen Stadt Jalandhar führt die Fernstraße NH 70. Die NH 103A verbindet Hoshiarpur mit der 40 km südöstlich gelegenen Stadt Garhshankar. Die Bevölkerung teilt sich in 75,6 % Hindus und 21 % Sikhs.[2]

Das Klima in Hoshiarpur ist subtropisch. In den Sommermonaten Juli und August, während der Monsunzeit, fallen die meisten Niederschläge. Der durchschnittliche Jahresniederschlag beträgt 991 mm. Die Jahresmitteltemperatur liegt bei 23,7 °C.
