Geografie

Cottun liegt etwa sieben Kilometer westlich vom Stadtzentrum von Bayeux. Umgeben wird Cottun von den Nachbargemeinden Tour-en-Bessin im Norden, Cussy im Nordosten, Barbeville im Osten, Ranchy im Südosten, Campigny im Süden sowie Crouay im Westen.
