Carleton North, offiziell „District of Carleton North“, ist eine Gemeinde (Town) in der kanadischen Provinz New Brunswick/Nouveau-Brunswick. Carleton North ist der Western Valley Regional Service Commission (RSC 12)[1] zugeordnet und liegt im historischen County Carleton. Die Gemeinde Carleton North ist in 5 Wards gegliedert.[2][1] Die Verwaltung befindet sich in Florenceville-Bristol.

Lage

Das Gemeindegebiet von Carleton North liegt an der US-amerikanischen Grenze etwa 90 km nordwestlich von Fredericton.

Geschichte

Carleton North entstand am 1. Januar 2023 durch den Zusammenschluss von Florenceville-Bristol, Bath und Centreville sowie der Eingemeindung angrenzender gemeindefreier Gebiete (Local Service District).[2] Bei diesen handelte es sich um Aberdeen, Glassville, Lakeville, Upper Kent, Wicklow und Wilmot sowie um Teile von Kent, Peel und Simonds.[1]
