Abohar (Panjabi ਅਬੋਹਰ) ist eine Stadt (Municipal Council) im indischen Bundesstaat Punjab.
Die Stadt liegt im Tiefland 22 km von der pakistanischen Grenze entfernt. Abohar befindet sich im 2011 neu gegründeten Distrikt Fazilka. Die Stadt hatte beim Zensus 2011 145.302 Einwohner. Nachbarstädte sind Fazilka (32 km nordnordwestlich), Malout (28 km östlich) und Sri Ganganagar (40 km südwestlich).
Klima
Das Klima in Abohar wird als Wüstenklima bezeichnet. Das ganze Jahr über fällt ganz wenig Niederschlag. In den Sommermonaten Juli, August und September, während der Monsunzeit, fallen noch die meisten Niederschläge. Der durchschnittliche Jahresniederschlag beträgt 284 mm. Die Jahresmitteltemperatur liegt bei 24,7 °C.
