Geografija
Reljef je planinski. Dominiraju stepe, polustepe, te nešto četinarskih šuma. Najveći vrh je Kings Peak.
Rudno blago: željezo, mrki ugalj, uranij.
Industrija: obojena metalurgija, željezara, čeličane, elektrotehnika, naftna industrija.
Poljoprivreda: slabo razvijena, uzgoj šećerne repe.
Turizam je veoma razvijen. Godine 2002. održane su Zimske olimpijske igre.

U Juti su se prvi naselili Mormoni
