Indiana je savezna država na području centralnog SAD-a, na nekadašnjem srednjem zapadu. Glavni grad je Indianapolis. Ime države znači Zemlja Indijanaca. Veći gradovi u državi su Gary, Forth Wayne, Evansville.
Geografija
Indiana na sjeveru graniči sa saveznom državom Michigan, s kojom dijeli istoimeno jezero. Na istoku graniči s Ohijom, dok na jugu dijeli rijeku Ohio kao graničnu rijeku s Kentuckyjem. Na zapadu leži Illinois. Najveća tačka je Hoosier Hill u okrugu Wayne (383 m).[1]
