Sinaj

Karta sinajskog poluostrva

Sinaj ili Sinajsko poluostrvo[1] je poluostrvo u obliku trougla, površine oko 60.000 km2. Na Sinaju živi oko 1,3 miliona stanovnika.[2] Veza je između Mediterana, Crvenog mora i Perzijskog zaliva. Bio je popriše nekoliko žestokih sukoba. Primjer takvih sukoba je i Jom Kipurski rat. Nakon tog sukoba, Izrael se povlačio, završivši povlačenje 1982.
