Translokon-pridružena podjedinica delta je protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom SSR4.[5][6]

Pretpostavlja se da je SSR4, znan i kao TRAPD, uključen je u lučenje proteina. Nalazi se u Xq28 regiji hromosoma X, kompaktno raspoređen, glava-uz-glavu sa genom IDH3G. Ova dva gena pokreće dvosmjerni promotor, smješten između njih i kodiraju proteine koji su uključeni u nepovezane biohemijske puteve u različitim odjeljcima ćelije. Netranskripirano intergeno područje predstavlja samo 133 bp i ugrađeno je u CpG otok. Ovaj otok funkcionira kao dvosmerni promotor za pokretanje transkripcije oba funkcijski nepovezana gena sa različitim ekspresijskim obrascima. SSR4 se sastoji od šest egzona i približno je dug 70 kb, telomerno prema genu ALD. Iako alternativna prerada egzona 5 nije otkrivena u ljudskom SSR4, varijante transkripata kojima nedostaje regija homologna ljudskom egzonu 5 otkrivene su i u Xenopus laevis i Mus musculus.[6]
