Mu Velorum (μ Velorum, μ Vel) je zvijezda u sazviježđu Jedro. Udaljena je 117 sg od Sunca. Ima prividan sjaj od 2.69 . Ubraja se u dvostruke zvijezde, zvijezde su udaljene 1.437 uglovnih sekundi odnosno 51 AJ. Orbitalni period iznosi 116 godina. Primarna zvijezda je žuti div spektralne klase G5III s prividnim sjajem od 2.7. Sekundarna zvijezda je patuljak glavnog niza spektralne klase G2V, ima prividan sjaj od 6.4. [3] [1] [2] 1998. zabilježeno je pomoću teleskopa izbijanje jakog zračenja zvijezde (eng.gamma ray burst) koje je trajalo 2 dana.[4]
