Machine Head je američka heavy metal muzička grupa.

Historija

Grupu su 1991. osnovali pjevač i gitarist Robb Flynn te basist Adam Duce. Prva dva studijska albuma Burn My Eyes, i The More Things Change... opisivane kao mješavinu Panterinog groove i Slayerovog thrash metala izdali su 1994. i 1997. Na idućem albumu The Burning Red znatno su promijenili stil, uvođenjem elemenata nu metala, kao i rap vokale, te su za tu promjenu dobili negativne kritike, kao i za idući, stilom slični album Supercharger.

Petim studijskim albumom Through the Ashes of Empires objavljenog 2003, vratili su se svom originalnom žanru, groove i thrash metalu. Obožavatelji i kritika su dobro primili album, kao i njihov zasada posljednji, The Blackening, objavljen 2007. Na svjetskoj turneji povodom objave tog albuma, između ostalih nastupali su sa grupama Megadeth, Metallica, Slipknot i Children of Bodom.
