Slayer je američka thrash metal muzička grupa iz Huntigton Parka. Smatraju se jednima od "velike četvorke" američkog thrash metala, uz Metallicu, Megadeth i Anthrax.
O grupi
Grupu su 1981. osnovali Kerry King i Jeff Hanneman, a ubrzo su im se pridružili Tom Araya i Dave Lombardo. Još i danas sviraju u istoj postavi, s tim da je Lombardo dvaput napuštao grupu, no vratio se 2002. Glavne teme njihovih pjesama su nasilje, smrt, rat i anti-religija. Dosad su objavili 11 studijskih albuma, a svjetsku slavu ostvarili su albumom Reign in Blood, koji se smatra jednim od najutjecajnijih heavy metal albuma svih vremena. Osvojili su i 2 Grammyja, te su nastupali na mnogim velikim muzičkim festivalima širom svijeta.
