Interaktom

U molekularnoj biologiji, interaktom je čitav skup molekularnih interakcija u određenoj ćeliji. Izraz se posebno odnosi na fizičke interakcije između molekula (kao što su one između proteina, također poznate kao interakcije protein-protein, PPI; ili između malih molekula i proteina[1]), ali također može opisati skupove indirektnih interakcija između gena (genetske interakcije).

Reč "interaktom" prvobitno je skovala 1999. godine grupa francuskih naučnika na čelu s Bernard Jacqom.[3] Matematički, interaktomi se općenito prikazuju kao grafovi. Iako se interaktomi mogu opisati kao biološke mreže, ne treba ih miješati s drugim mrežama kao što su neuronske mreže ili mreže hrane.
