CTCFL
Transkripcijski represor CTCFL, znan i kao BORIS (brat regulatora imprintiranih mjesta) je protein koji je kod ljudi kodiran genom CTCFL.[4]
Funkcija
CCCTC-vezujući faktor (CTCF), faktor 11–cinkovog prsta uključen u regulaciju gena, koristi različite cinkove prste da veže različita ciljna mjesta DNK. CTCF formira izolatore osjetljive na metilaciju, koji reguliraju Inaktivaciju X-hromosoma. Transkripcijski potiskivač CTCFL (ovaj protein) je paralog CTCF-a i čini se da se prvenstveno eksprimira u citoplazmi spermatocit a, za razliku od CTCF-a, koji se primarno ispoljava u jedru somatskih ćelija. CTCF i CTCFL obično se izražavaju u međusobno isključivom obrascu, koji korelira sa resetiranjem oznaka metilacije tokom diferencijacije muških klicinih ćelija.[4]
