British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) je kompanija za javno emitovanje[1] radijskog i televizijskog programa. Ima 28.500 zaposlenika samo u Ujedinjenom Kraljevstvu s godišnjim budžetom od 4 milijardi funti.

BBC je prva javna, nacionalna televizija. Krenula je sa emitovanjem 14. oktobra 1922., pod nazivom "British Broadcasting Company".[2] Godine 1927. je, po primitku kraljevskog odobrenja ("Royal Charter"), preimenovana u British Broadcasting Corporation i time postala javna televizija koju finansiraju građani.

BBC proizvodi i emitira program širom svijeta na televiziji, radiju i internetu. Glavna misija BBC-a je: "Informirati, obrazovati i zabaviti gledaoce".
