4G
4G je oznaka za četvrtu generaciju ćelijskih bežičnih standarda.[1] Nasljednik je 3G i 2G familija standarda. Zahtjevi u pogledu brzine kod 4G servisa postavljaju se na oko 100 Mbit/s[2] za komunikaciju u stanju visoke mobilnosti (na primjer iz voza ili automobila) i 1 Gbit/s za stanja niske mobilnosti (na primjer u toku šetnje ili mirovanja).
Od 4G sistema se očekuje da omogući sveobuhvatna i sigurna all-IP bazirana mobilna širokopojasna rješenja smartphone uređajima, laptop računarima, bežičnim modemima i drugim mobilnim uređajima. Usluge kao što su ultra broadband Internet pristup, IP telefonija, gaming servisi, i streaming najrazličitijih multimedijalnih sadržaja mogu biti omogućeni korisnicima.
