«Slayer» (бел.: Забойца) — амерыканскі гурт, заснаваны ў 1981 годзе Джэфам Ханэманам і Кэры Кінгам, які адразу ўзначаліў адзін з самых цяжкіх кірункаў сусветнай музыкі — трэш-метал. Пасля выпуску ў 1986 годзе альбома «Reign in Blood», які быў прызнаны музычнай крытыкай «самым цяжкім альбомам усіх часоў» і дагэтуль лічыцца адным з лепшых дасягненняў металічнай музыкі ўвогуле, «Slayer» увайшоў у «вялікую чацвёрку трэш-метала» разам з групамі «Metallica», «Megadeth» і «Anthrax». Але слава прыйшла да гурта значна раней знакамітага альбома.
