Behemoth (з англ. — «Бегемот») — польскі блэк-дэт-гурт, утвораны ў кастрычніку 1991 года ў Гданьску. На пачатку свайго музычнага шляху стыль гурта класіфікаваўся як блэк-метал, а потым, з 1994 года, з’явіўся паганскі складнік і шырока выкарыстоўвалася ў запісах акустычная гітара. З 1999 года гурт пачаў уносіць у сваю музыку значныя элементы дэт-метала, адмовіўшыся ад паганскай тэмы і прыўнёсшы ў сваю лірыку тэматыку сатанізму, акультызму, міфалогіі Блізкага Усходу, а таксама ідэалогіі Алістэра Кроўлі. Гурт адыграў важную ролю ў стварэнні польскага андэграўнду экстрэмальнага металу.
