Bathory — шведскі музычны гурт, які ўнёс значны ўклад у развіццё блэк-метала і вікінг-метала, узнік у Стакгольме ў 1983 годзе. Творчасць гурта таксама спарадзіла мноства пераймальнікаў. У складзе Bathory пабывала мноства музыкантаў, але лідарам у пачатку творчага шляху і фактычна адзіным удзельнікам у канцы быў музыка-мультыінструменталіст Quorthon. Гурт зняў адзіны відэакліп на адну з найвядомых сваіх песень One Rode to Asa Bay; як і сама песня, кліп прысвечаны прыходу хрысціянства ў Скандынавію.

Існаванне гурта спынілася ў чэрвені 2004 года, калі Quorthon быў знойдзены мёртвым ва ўласнай кватэры. Прычынай смерці 38-гадовага музыканта стала сардэчная недастатковасць.
