Xcas dapat menyelesaikan persamaan diferensial

Xcas (antarmuka untuk Giac) adalah pustaka program bersumber terbuka yang digunakan untuk memvisualisasikan perhitungan dalam bidang aljabar komputer, sehingga Giac adalah perangkat lunak matematika.[1] Giac dibuat dengan bahasa C++[2] yang dikhususkan dalam aplikasi aljabar komputer. Karena enkapsulasi sebagai perpustakaan yang berdiri sendiri, program ini juga dapat dengan mudah diintegrasikan ke aplikasi lain dan ke sistem operasi yang berbeda. Antarmuka pengguna grafis untuk Giac tersedia dalam bentuk Xcas. Giac tersedia untuk sistem operasi Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS dan Linux / Unix.[3] Giac adalah proyek yang dikembangkan sejak tahun 2000[4] oleh tim bentukan Bernard Parisse di Universitas Joseph Fourier (Grenoble,[5] Prancis). Berdasarkan pengalamannya dengan proyek sebelumnya "Erable", Parisse dapat membuat "Xcas" dan "Giac".
