Thomas Saleh
Thomas Saleh (3 Mei 1879 – 28 Februari 1917) adalah seorang anggota kapusin dan misionaris di tempat yang sekarang disebut Turki yang ditangkap, disiksa, dan menjadi martir oleh pasukan Kekaisaran Ottoman pada tahun 1917. Saleh ditangkap dan dijatuhi hukuman mati setelah memberikan perlindungan kepada seorang pastor Armenia selama genosida Armenia. Sebelum kematiannya, dia berkata, “Saya percaya sepenuhnya kepada Tuhan, saya tidak takut mati.” Bersama dengan Leonard Melki, ia dibeatifikasi pada 4 Juni 2022 oleh Kardinal Marcello Semeraro di Biara Salib di Jal el Dib, di luar ibu kota Beirut, Lebanon.[1]
