Takemikazuchi

Takemikazuchi (建御雷 atau 武甕槌, "Perkasa-Dahsyat-Berkuasa"[2] atau "Dewa Petir")[3] adalah seorang dewa dalam mitologi Jepang, yang bergelar dewa petir[4] dan pedang.[5] Ia juga dipercaya sebagai peserta dalam pertandingan sumo pertama di dunia.
Ia dikenal pula sebagai Kashima-no-kami, dewa utama yang dipuja di kuil Kashima, kota Kashima, Ibaraki (dan di seluruh cabang kuil Kashima).[4][6] Pada namazu-e atau cetakan gambar lele dari zaman Edo, Takemikazuchi/Kashima digambarkan sedang menjinakkan lele raksasa yang dipercaya hidup di kaname-ishi (要石, "pasak bumi") daratan Jepang dan menyebabkan terjadinya gempa.[4][6]
