Miss World 1991

Miss World 1991 adalah kontes kecantikan Miss World ke-41 yang dilaksanakan 28 Desember 1991 di Georgia World Congress Center Atlanta, Georgia, Amerika Serikat. Pemenang kontes ini adalah Ninibeth Beatriz Leal Jiménez mewakili Venezuela. Dia menerima sematan mahkota dari Gina Tolleson dari Amerika Serikat. Miss World 1991 dijadwalkan dilaksanakan di Republik Dominika. Atas kerumitan penjadwalan itu, Miss World kali pertama dipindahkan ke Puerto Rico, kemudian di Atlanta, USA. Preliminary swimsuits Miss World 1991 diselenggarakan di Afrika Selatan.[1]

  •  Cote d'Ivoire - Muriel Edoukou[3] - Due lack of Sponsorship.
  •  Guyana - Tracy Ann D'Abreu - Due the controversy over her victory and citizenship, she was declared inelegible to compete at Miss World 1991.[4][5]
  •  Hong Kong - Renewed its franchise, however it happened three months after Miss World.
  •  Luxembourg - Did not send delegates to Miss World after 1990 until it returned in 2009.
  •  Papua New Guinea
  •  Peru – Due to problems with their franchise and lack of sponsorship
  •  Sri Lanka – Due to scheduling conflict
  •  USSR - The winner of Miss USSR 1991, Ilmira Shamsutdinova was invited to compete in Miss World 1991, however she rejected the invitation because was too underage for the contest.[6] No runner-ups from Miss USSR 1991 pageant were sent for Miss World 1991.[7]

Penggantian

  •  Hungary – Antonia Balint - She menanggalkan mahkota Miss Hungary 1991 setelah surat kabar Hungaria menerbitkan foto-foto dirinya sebelumnya di sebuah majalah pria Lui dan publikasi lainnya yang bertentangan dengan aturan Miss World.[8] Her 1st -runner up,Timea Raba couldn't replace her due the same reason.[9]
  •  Taiwan – Lu Shu-Fang[10]
