Tischerioidea là liên họ của loài bướm đêm sâu vẽ bùa. Liên họ này chỉ chứa một họ, Tischeriidae, và theo truyền thống chỉ có một chi, Tischeria, nhưng hiện nay có ba chi được công nhận, phân bố rộng khắp thế giới bao gồm cả Nam Mỹ (Davis, 1986), ngoại trừ Australasia (Puplesis và Diskus, 2003). Đây là một ứng cử viên cho nhóm chị em (xem thêm Palaephatoidea) của phần lớn Lepidoptera, Ditrysia (Davis, 1999; Wiegmann et al., 2002), và chúng có hệ thống sinh sản của con cái kiểu Monotrysia. Các loài bướm nhỏ này có ấu trùng là sâu vẽ bùa,[2] chúng ăn chủ yếu là Fagaceae (Tischeria và Coptotriche), Asteraceae và Malvaceae (Astrotischeria), và cũng ăn một số loài trong họ Rhamnaceae, Tiliaceae và Rosaceae.[3][4]
