Ang Mottalciata ay isang comune (komuna o munisipalidad) sa lalawigan ng Biella, rehiyon ng Piamonte, hilagang-kanlurang Italya, na matatagpuan mga 60 kilometro (37 mi) hilagang-silangan ng Turin at mga 20 kilometro (12 mi) timog-silangan ng Biella. Noong Disyembre 31, 2004, mayroon itong populasyon na 1,445 at may lawak na 18.5 kilometro kuwadrado (7.1 mi kuw).[3]

Mottalciata ay may hangganan sa mga sumusunod na munisipalidad: Benna, Buronzo, Castelletto Cervo, Cossato, Gifflenga, Lessona, Massazza, at Villanova Biellese.

Kasaysayan

Ang teritoryo ng Mottalciata, na maaaring tahanan ng isang pre-Seltang pamayanan, ay tiyak na tinitirhan noong panahon ng Imperyong Romano, na pinatunayan ng isang maliit na altar ng libing na nauugnay sa ika-2 siglo at ngayon ay napanatili sa Museo ng Pook ng Biella.[4]
