Sa mitolohiyang Pilipino[1] at panitikang Pilipino,[2] ang maligno ay mga espiritu o halimaw na namamalagi sa mga lugar o tao at may kakayahang magbalat-kayo bilang karaniwang tao.[3] Kadalasan din na pinupuntirya ng isang maligno ang isang partikular na tao na kanilang gusto at sasaktan. Ang paniniwalang Pilipino na na "namaligno" ay nangangahulugan na nagkasakit ang isang tao dulot ng isang maligno na pinapahirapan ang indibiduwal, o kaya'y nagkasakit dahil sa supernatural na entidad o dahil sa mahika.[3][4] Halimbawa, sinisi sa mga maligno ang pagkamatay dulot ng Sudden Unexpected Nocturnal Death Syndrome o mas kilala bilang bangungot.[3][4]

Hinango ang katawagang "maligno" sa Kastilang salita na maligno na nangangahulugang "malisyoso" o "mapagpahamak."[5]
